Market steer weigh-in will be held on Saturday, December 18 2021 from 8:00 - 10:00 am at the beef barns on the fairgrounds. (A "bad-weather" date has been set for Monday, December 20 from 5 - 7 pm.)

Steers must be born on or after January 1 of 2021. Steer weigh-in and identification takes place on a date set by the Senior Fair Board. All steers must be weighed and identified on this date to be eligible to show and sell. Members may weigh in three beef steers and may show and sell two market steers at the fair, provided they do not bring any other market animal to the fair.

2022 STATE FAIR REQUIREMENTS
Attention Potential State Fair Beef Exhibitors:
The Ohio State Fair requires all market beef that are entered in the 2022 Ohio State Fair provide a DNA submission and electronic identification. The DNA collection will be in the form of a hair sample.
DNA packets/EID tags (instructions included) can be obtained at the Pike County Extension office. These are available on a first-come first-serve basis. Animals must be registered by JANUARY 15, 2022.
It is the responsibility of the exhibitor to obtain the DNA packet/EID tag and submit their registration by the January 15 deadline.
