Carefully read the following information regarding spring tagging/identification procedures.
- Download your forms and complete prior to arrival!
- Breeding animals and horses: go here for forms.
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY:
1. All breeding livestock, feeder calves, and dairy must have one of the following:
- 840 tag
- EID tag
- scrapie tag
- tattoo w/purebred paperwork
- if your breeding animal ALREADY has been identified with one of the above, you do not have to bring your animal to tagging on May 2. BUT you must have your paperwork on file with the Extension Office by May 2
- if your breeding animal DOES NOT have one of these identifiers, YOU MUST bring your animal on May 2 between 8-10 am at the beef barn for tagging
2. For market hogs:
- Tagging date: Saturday, May 2 down by the Multi-Purpose building
- Tagging time: 8:00 am – 10:00 am
- All swine projects must be tagged at this time in order to be eligible for fair judging.
- Youth does not have to be present at the tagging, but need to make arrangements for hog to be tagged on this date.
3. For market lambs and market goats:
- Tagging date: Saturday, May 2 down by the Multi-Purpose building
- Tagging time: 8:00 am – 10:00 am
- All market lamb and goat projects must be tagged at this time in order to be eligible for fair judging.
- Youth does not have to be present at the tagging, but need to make arrangements for lamb or goat to be tagged on this date.
- All goats and lambs are required to have scrapie tags in place

Regarding Jr. Fair exhibitors taking horse and/or dog projects,
the following are due May 2 by 10 a.m.:
All horse forms are included in the Horse Spring ID Forms Packet.
