Being a camp counselor is an excellent way to build leadership skills while making new friends!  Pike County teens, ages 14-18, are encouraged to apply!  

Pike County Youth - ONLINE Camp Counselor Application

Once accepted as a camp counselor, youth will be required to attend further counselor training at one of the following:



  • Register for camp by clicking on your specific camp link below.
  • Financial assistance may be available.  Download a camp scholarship application and return to Extension Office by Monday, May 1.

The following camp events for Pike County youth are held at Canter's Cave 4-H Camp in Jackson, Ohio *UNLESS otherwise noted*.

  • Leadership Camp:  The 2024 Ohio 4-H State Leadership Camp will be held from June 1-5, 2024 for ages 15-18 at 4-H Camp Ohio. Individuals must be nominated by their county and then will receive additional information about registering. If you are interested in attending, please first contact your county's 4-H professional.   • Ohio Sea Camp - Sea Camp will be held July 19-23, 2024 and is offered to youth ages 14-17 (age as of the first day of camp). On March 1: Camper pre-registration will become available on this webpage 
  • Space Camp - June 11-13 at Marietta College, $260-Registration will open February 1
  • Forestry and Wildlife Conservation Camp
  • Explore Ag Science Camp (sponsored by Farm Bureau)
